Is Portugal attractive for tourists?

Choose what to see in Portugal:
From unique nature to man-made monuments
This is an ideal country for lovers to discover something new. The history of ancient cities and endless beaches, the sea and the cliffs, modern trading ports and fishing huts are all intricately intertwined in a small European country. Fans of traditional routes should recommend exploring Portugal from its capital, old Lisbon. The city is already twenty centuries old, it was conquered by the ancient Romans, the Templars built palaces here, artisans built their neighborhoods. Today it is a city of intriguing streets, magnificent squares, and rare trams. Nightlife with eclectic restaurants, bohemian cafes and stylish nightclubs is very tempting here. During the day, you can find many boutiques with fashionable clothes, museums, ancient attractions. All this is fanned by a romantic coastal setting and charming northern nature. Add to all the sporting life of the city, with the boiling passions of fans and a real excitement of games, whether it be soccer or golf.

Mild climate and rural charm
Outside of cities, travelers can enjoy vineyards planted here centuries ago, centuries-old monasteries, beaches, coasts and cliffs. Agritourism is developed here, travelers from all over the world do not miss the opportunity to spend a wonderful week in the fresh air, surrounded by magnificent natural landscapes, enjoying fresh produce and a mild climate. And I must say, it is beautiful here all year round, despite the proximity of the coast. In winter, the temperature here fluctuates around + 9 degrees, and in the summer reaches 23–25. Fans of outdoor recreation can recommend fishing in Portugal – here it can be successfully combined with an excursion program, because in this European country everything is very compact. Perhaps the main advantage of trips to Portugal today is that this European pearl is still underestimated by tourists. For this reason, it is possible to relax away from the influx of huge crowds of people with cameras, accompanied by a guide and a bus. Tourists who come here mainly move in small groups and are distinguished by calm and degree. Therefore, we can say for sure that to see the sights in Portugal will turn out perfectly. No hassle and haste, in a quiet vacation mode!
In Portugal, there are common harbors – hotels broken in ancient castles and monasteries. Traveling in Portugal, it is interesting to stay in them. Pousada restaurants typically serve traditional Portuguese recipes.
The rhythm of life is most pronounced in Lisbon. This is practically the only city in which there is nightlife. However, even here modern night clubs peacefully coexist with ancient palaces and beautiful parks. And modern Portugal is the European golf center: there are more than twenty excellent golf clubs, on the basis of which international competitions are held.
In the vicinity of Lisbon – on the Riviera – there are the resort towns of Estoril and Cascais. Life is in full swing 24 hours a day thanks to the abundance of night clubs, as well as one of the largest casinos in Europe. Here, vacationers are provided with many modern fashionable hotels, as well as luxury villas. Estoril and Cascais have the widest choice of entertainment: great beaches, water parks, restaurants and eucalyptus groves. Also here is the famous Formula 1 track.
The Portuguese island of Madeira is famous for its botanical gardens and levades. In general, for those who prefer outdoor activities, great opportunities open up here: horse riding, paragliding, mountain biking, golf. Tourists are met with absolutely unusual landscapes, opening their gaze from the steep cliffs.
The ancient city of Porto, famous for the traditions of winemaking, is also worth noting. Port lovers will never forget the local wines. There are many ancient buildings, narrow streets and cozy cafes.
